I am a welder/mechanic and I haven’t moved all my tools to a new job, like a multimeter. A small older forklift, no ecm, would not start so I cleaned the dirty! terminals, grounds, connections to starter and solenoid(they were together), nothing. So I put a non-LED test light on the battery, it was dim. Then I tested the starter’s ground and the solenoid’s positive, same light. Then I pulled the wire from the solenoid and checked it with the test light, when I hit the ignition switch it glowed dim, like the other tests. Having no other test tools, I pulled up the shop’s service truck and jumpered it off, and it started, I ran it for about 15 minutes on the jumpers and went to pull the cables, and the forklift shut off at once the + was off. So I started it back up, waited a little and pulled the negative off first, and it still shut off immediately.
I’m assuming that the battery would hold no charge whatsover(all the cells were full, though). and that the f/l depended on the shop truck, but for battery or alternator? The boss said we’ll fix it tomorrow. I thought that I should have checked the batt voltage if I could have, tried to charge the battery alone, unconnected, if needed, then put it in and checked charging voltage of the f/ls alternator. We had other batteries that were new but a different style connection post and size, same voltage, but not practical to switch over just for a test.. Please advise. If they ask tomorrow, I’d like to tell them It seemed as though the forklift acted fine with the trucks system, but if it had that battery would the alt. keep it charged?

So I just got a brand new Wii bundle. Its the black Wii. It also came with Skyward Sword and Super Mario. Everything works fine, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Skyward Sword. However, every time I try to play Mario, about 5 minutes in I get an error screen that reads, “An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn off the power to the console. Please read the Wii Operations Manual for further instructions.” My wiimote then shuts off and won’t turn back on until I restart the console. I have looked in the Operations Manual and can’t find anything about this. I have also searched online and it seems this error screen pops up often, but usually with more than just one game. I have absolutely no problems with Zelda, just Mario. The disc looks perfect and is new, so I don’t think it has anything to do with the game being unreadable. Anyone know why this might be happening, and how I might solve it?
Oh and I have already tried removing the power cord for a few minutes and turning the Wii from an upright position to laying down. The error also doesn’t seem to happen at any certain spot in the game, just after a certain amount of play time.

I accidentally mistyped a website I wanted to go to and a pop up said something like “congratulations you won” so I closed Safari and just hit ok. Now Safari won’t reopen. The blue light is under the safari symbol on the dock, and when I click quit, nothing happens. Please help!! Can I fix it?

My 2002 passat can’t be fixed I guess. It has low oil pressure according to my warning light, and I have had a new oil sending unit, etc… etc. done to it and have had it towed 4 times this month due to antifreeze leaking under it. It has blown 3 hoses in 3 weeks. It has a hole in the intercooler and I need to get it fixed once and for all. I am out over 2 grand so far on all of this. Is it really so hard to figure out why a car has low oil pressure and keeps busting hoses? I was going to have it towed to the closest VW but it is so far away it will cost over $600 JUST to have it towed… Why why why why can’t anyone fix my car!? I have been to three mechanics, ACE certified mechanics who keep scratching their heads after I dole out thousands of dollars and STILL have a low oil pressure warning, a hole in my intercooler and a ton of antifreeze leaking at least once a week and I must have it towed. Advice??
Why won’t they tell me it needs a new motor? It has 86,000 miles and ran fine up until I hit a raccoon and knocked a hole in that intercooler, so if the motor is bad why does it drive so good? It drives awesome but just blows hoses and keeps giving me that low oil pressure light. I would feel guilty selling it to someone with it having issues, but nobody can fix it! I don’t mind buying a new motor for it. Its a beautiful car but they keep saying the motor is fine, it just has an unresolved issue they can’t locate.

I’ve never been good at thinking of gifts for anyone. My boyfriend and I have been going out for a year and a half. He’s into sports, reading, and paint balling. For his last birthday I got him a shirt, and for Christmas I got him a pocket knife and this really cool wrist band. He’s already got tons of books, sports equipment, and paint balling stuff though so I’m sort of out of ideas. I know you all don’t know him or anything but…what’s something simple but nice that a guy would like for Valentines Day? Oh, and nothing sexual please because we’re only 15 and 16. Thanks.

A few days ago i woke up and was very sick, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, swollen glands etc. A day passed and i suddenly started to get really bad discomfort and pain in my bowel. And it was like tightening and then relief in intervals. So for 5 minutes id feel this excruciating pain and then for 10 minutes it would go. And repeat. I went to the Doctors and the nurse gave me some injections to stop vomiting and the ‘bowel spasms’ is what they called them, also a pain killer. It didnt help one bit. The doctor just gave me a referal to get an ultra sound but i have to wait a week. I havent slept for the past two days because of the pain being that bad and uncomfortable and im extremely tired. I have been taking buscopan and panadol, also a heat pad to ease the pain which helps to an extent. I woke up this morning and i felt a little better from the ’spasms’ but now i feel an extremity need to open my bowel. Although, when i try to constantly because of the discomfort, nothing comes except a tiny bit of soft and liquidly faeces. I feel like i really urgently have diarrhoea but it just is like blocked. I also have developed what i think is an external haemorrhoid from pushing so hard to try to open my bowel. All of this is the worst thing ive been through physically and ive had sever operations and painful experiences. I really need it to stop. I need a faster way than changing my diet.
If you could please help me the slightest bit in helping discover an inch of an idea of what this could be it would be greatly appreciated. I am a 16 year old female by the way. I know i should see a GP but i would like to get an idea first.
