i think i have a fake PSP memory stick?

ok i got an 8GB memory stick from pandorasales, and when i put it in my psp and press info it says “Magic Gate: Unknown”

However, it DOES actually hold 8GB worth of stuff, and saves everything i put on there, so nothing is wrong with it at all.

Could it be a fake?

It does make my psp go slower when i put it in, and right when i put it in it says “free space:-”for about 6 seconds, then will say how much it has left.

If it is fake, could it brick my psp?
