I got HID lights for my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee i installed them and they only fully work if i have my lights set to on if there set to automatic or turned off, even when i turn my car off and take the keys out they flicker. How can i fix this please help!!!

I got some hid lights on my civic and works great and bright…my questionquestion is about high beam, when I turn on the high beams on, the hid lights turn off and reg lights turn on, almost the same light I had befoure I got the hid, I’m wondering why that is needed/happens?

Let me 1st start out by saying I have a stock 07 Mitsubishi Galant & I live in Va Beach, Va.

My questions kinda pertains to that information. Since I live in Va, damn near everything is illegal. Neon, tinted lights…now I’m hearing hid lights are. (So if you live in Va & have aftermarket lights, not the BMW stock bright lights, let me know how your driving experiences have been with the law)

1) The whole point of an HID conversion kit is so that it includes ALL necessary components for your vehicle right? All of the wiring and pieces are there in the kit, so it won’t mess up the battery or overheat something right? Just buy the kit, install’em…drive. right?

2) I’ve heard from some cop buddies that they aren’t legal. Then again, I heard you won’t necessarily be stopped for them, but they may not pass inspection. (I’ve seen 100’s of cars with’em on here…so I’m not worrying about a ticket, just the inspection.) Can I buy 2 stock bulbs from Autozone and swap out the HID bulbs just for inspection purposes, or with the conversion kit, does that now become impossible?

3) I’m going back & forth between 8000k & 1000k…any suggestions? Or will the 6000k diamond white be my best choice, since there is no blue and should therefore pass inspection? Or are they super bright and a red flag for inspectors?

I have a 2002 Honda Civic. I have smoked out headlights and it makes it difficult to see at night. I want to install HID lights to enhance the light output. I’m worried that the intense heat from the HID’s will melt the tint on my smoked out headlights. It’s not the filmed used, it’s like a spray tint. Does anyone if this is possible or not? Or if there is something similar I can use.
