i weigh myself with these scales and on a flat surface and i get a reading of 11.2 stone, my brother weighed himself and he got 13.5 stone and he said there not accurate because on his digital scales he weighs well over 14 stone. should i carry on taking reading from my scale or throw it away and buy a digital one?

I don’t own a balance beam scale, the scale I use is the kind that as you step on it, the numbers rotate to your weight. It shifts with every slight movement, but it seems like when I’m leaning forward more to look down (without removing my heels or leaning on the balls of my feet) the number drops. Or if my feet are slightly outward/hanging off the side the number is heavier.
How should I stand/position myself so I get an accurate number?

I currently have a dial scale but I’m now interested in getting a digital scale to weigh myself. What brand would you suggested I get if my budget is 50 dollars? Also, what store is a good place to look?

In a shocking series of events that is still under investigation, Las Vegas police on Friday shot and killed Trevon Cole, 21, while serving a warrant that claimed Cole was selling marijuana. According to reports, Cole’s 20-year-old fiancé, Sequioa Pearce—who is 9 months pregnant—was forced to kneel and held at gunpoint in the moments just before Cole was shot.

A police spokesman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that undercover officers had bought marijuana from Cole three times before the warrant was served, and investigators reportedly took an unknown amount of marijuana and digital scales from his home. Pearce, his fiancé, says Cole, who has no criminal record, “did smoke marijuana from time to time,” but was not a drug dealer.

The officer who shot Cole is a 10-year veteran who the Review-Journal reports has been involved in other questionable shootings. Police said he fired his weapon on Cole after Cole made a “furtive movement,” which Pearce denies.

While police investigate the incident, Cole’s family remains shocked and in desperate need of an explanation. Writes the Review-Journal, “They had been preparing for a birth, not a death.”

If Blacks know what 7 in a 16 is, and how many grams are in an ounce, how many ounces in a pound or kilogram. If they know how to use triple beams and digital scales, sharpen their math skills through establishing drug prices, and are conservative enough with their products to employ different cutting agents to stretch whatever amounts they have.. Do you think introducing controlled experiments with illegal drugs in school could help Blacks? Could you imagine how much easier chemistry would be for them if they were cooking up crack cocaine and methamphetamine in class?

I have a CVS brand digital scale that seems pretty accurate….if I weigh a 5 lb bag of corn meal on it, it says “5.0.”
Ever since I started college I’ve been eating like a pig, so it seems impossible I’ve lost weight but this scale keeps telling me I lost a few lb since about a month ago. I just find it so hard to believe.
I mean, if you’re weighing yourself on the same scale and the number goes down, it’s real right? I even changed the batteries today to make sure. It’s been giving me readings like that for a few weeks.
I just don’t want to be 10 lb in in reality and just not know it. I also don’t want to buy a new scale.

i recently bought a digital scale from tesco and i weighed my self on carpet and then on hard wood floor and got 2 totally different readings. i know that that is possible but…..
carpet read: 91.3 kg
wood read: 96.9 kg

then a decided to weigh a 1.5lt water bottle. it should weigh 1.5kg. and got the exact reading for both carpet and wood floor which is 1.5kg

now sooo what is my real weight ???
i tried my mechanical scales i had previously and that also reads different , about 94 kg ?

i am really confused, what do you reckon i should go with?

I have been doing the Atkins diet for a while (I don’t need any negative feedback on the diet). My digital scale has been acting weird, this morning it weighed me at 198lbs. I went to the gym and weighed myself on their balance scale, like at the doctors office, for the first time and it weighed me at 179lbs. That is a HUGE difference. I don’t really believe it. I’m confused, I have lost inches but the weight loss has not reflected on the digital scale. What do you guys think?
